Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a moderate resort at Walt Disney World where guests stay in one of five Caribbean-themed villages that transports guests to a tropical paradise right in the heart of Central Florida. This hotel is one of the largest and most spread out of any on the Walt Disney World property, spanning over 200 acres and including a 40-acre lake, Barefoot Bay. Barefoot Bay gives this resort a unique quality – not only can guests rent boats at the Barefoot Bay Marina or participate in fishing or water sports, but all six of the villages were built around this main body of water as well. The marina is only one of the many highlights of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Old Port Royale is also another place you will need to visit if you are staying here. OPR houses the main feature pool (which is being renovated and is scheduled to be complete by late 2008), Shutter’s Restaurant, the Old Port Royale food court, an arcade and a souvenir store as well. Old Port Royale is also adjacent to the Barefoot Bay Marina, meaning the hub of all central activities generally takes place here (hence you may want to ask for the villages that are the closest to OPR). But just because Old Port Royale is the main hub doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to do at your village. In fact, there are six “quiet” heated pools located around the villages, four playgrounds located on the grounds and there are white-sand beaches throughout the resort on the shores of Barefoot Bay that are equipped with lounge chairs, hammocks and even volleyball nets. Additional amenities at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort include a great centralized location (just down the road from both Downtown Disney and the Disney-MGM Studios but within minutes of all four parks), limited room service and babysitting and child services. Another great perk for staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is all of the privileges you receive that are associated with staying at a hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort. You will enjoy Extra Magic Hours (before the parks open and after they close), in which only resort guests get to experience the best attractions with much lesser crowds. If you are flying into Orlando International Airport, you can also take advantage of Disney’s Magical Express Transportation, which picks you up and takes you to your Walt Disney World Resort free of charge. Transportation is also complimentary on-site at your resort hotel, as you can hop on a bus and be shuttled anywhere on property without ever having to spend a dime to park or worry about how to get where. There are other resort benefits as well, such as the Disney Dining Plan, an offer where you can save 40 percent on dining on over 100 restaurants across property, as well as complimentary package delivery and amazing facilities that only Walt Disney World Resort guests can enjoy. We here at Orlando Fun Tickets hope you enjoy your stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
