Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream may seem like an attraction only suited for older generations or for Disney fanatics, but it is a great educational and resourceful tool for those who are interested in learning more about not only Walt Disney himself, but how the Disney brand has become what it is today. This self-guided tour begins with Walt’s birthplace of Chicago, Ill. and ventures to Marceline, Mo., where he was raised, offering footage and interviews from Walt on how his childhood shaped him and influenced his life. There are also nearly 500 pieces of memorabilia from Walt, including an Oscar he won for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” and tons of audio and video footage that was released for the first time here for this special attraction. Every 15 minutes, guests also have the opportunity to enter into a theatre to watch a short film celebrating Walt, combining the clips of Disney animated film classics with home movies of the Disney family. While you are walking through, be sure to also ask the Cast Members on hand for a trivia quiz – you may get a surprise if you can get all of the answers right!
